The Home Buying Process Made Easy

There are many things to consider when buying a home. Real Estate is titled property. Each parcel has a legal description and all transfers are recorded by the County Register of Deeds, also any liens or other claims to the property would be recorded. It is important to be aware of any encumbrances that exist prior to purchasing a property. The condition of the structure itself must also be considered. The state of such important parts as plumbing, heating, and electrical wiring may not be readily discerned. A reputable home inspector may be needed, or a warranty obtained. Buying a home is a large transaction. Don't place your investment at risk for lack of information.

Using a Qualified Realtor as your exclusive buyer's agent will keep you from getting mired in all the details. Looking after your interest is their job. Ellie's experience in over 1000 transactions can stop you from making a costly mistake. Buying a home can be stressful enough. When employing a Realtor the home buying process can be broken down into a simple 4 step process.
1.Collect Information on Houses
When you drive by a house or see one in an ad, please be sure to collect the following information:
  • Address or Approximate Address
  • Name of Real Estate Company
  • Phone Number
  • Ad Number - if available
  • Name of Publication
I will have the most updated information on properties through the MLS® Computer System. I can give you all the details about the house you're interested in, as well as show you additional houses in the same style or price range that are available today.
Ellie can show you any house on the market!
2. When you find the right Home
We prepare the purchase agreement, which will include among other things a provision for passing a whole house inspection. I will also prepare a document showing an itemized breakdown of all the costs for the transaction, which will include broker fees, title insurance, the cost of your mortgage, etc. You bring your checkbook.
Remember, the property is still on the market for all buyers until all terms are agreed upon by all parties.

4. Closing
Sign final documents and pay any balance due by certified funds. Congratulations you own your own home!
